What is a “harmony tab”?

A harmony tab is intended to give you the proper notes to sing in the vocal harmony sections of popular songs. It is not meant to be a full piece of sheet music or replace the need to purchase the sheet music for a particular song.

How do these work?

Easy!  Browse the ‘Free Harmony Tabs’ section to find a tune or search for a tune with the handy ‘Search’ bar. You can then view, download, or print them off.  We’ve only added the harmony sections (mostly) to these pdfs.

What is ‘Tab’?

‘Tab’ is short for Tablature. Tablature is a musical notation cheat sheet. In this case, a cheat sheet for vocal lines!

What do these ‘harmony tabs’ cost me?

Nothing. Zero. Zilch. No dollars. We want this to be like guitar tabs for voice. Free to use however you see fit!

  • I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting
my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get setup?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?

I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    • Hey Alex!

It does cost a bit up front. You’ll need to register a domain name somewhere. Usually looking around $10/ year. I used namecheap for this one, but you can shop around to find a good price. You’ll need hosting. I use iPage. I think that runs around $150-ish/ year. They do pretty well.. there are probably better option, but they work for me. And for actual creation I use WordPress. It can be a bit involved because you can really dive in and customize, but that’s what I love about it. You could simplify and go with something like Squarespace. This particular site was started with a theme called ColorMag. Then I’ve spent countless hours customizing it. But you can usually leave things as they come and get up and running. If you’re just looking to blog, WordPress offers a free (I believe) option that gets you up and running today without having to go through all the other hassle. The trade-off is that your blog-site name will have ‘wordpress’ in it and it’s not as customize-able. I hope this helps!
